RE: Football Banter
Chelsea just got a second goal and looking at the replays it doesn't look like it crossed the line. I don't know why the referee has given it, he couldn't possibly of seen it with the amount of players in the way

Why wasn't Cech cautioned ? Red or yellow ?
He got away with it entirely. If the ref played advantage shouldn't he have gone back to the original offence as he would have done in the normal field of play ( ie outside the penalty area)

Ever wondered what happened to The Master Of His Domain?

You are not allowed to play advantage and then go back and issue a red card. As for why he wasn't booked was just a poor decision.

Typical of referees so inconsistent with decisions. Its 4-1 Chelsea, GAME OVER now

The Chelsea second goal never even crossed the line annoyed
What now for goal line technology ?

I guess as a long suffering Spurs fan I shouldn't be too surprised Sad Will we even finish in the top 4 now ? Sad

Football is stuck in the dark ages and its light years behind other sports such as rugby, tennis and cricket for the use of technology. I have heard that they want to introduce technology in two seasons time, but the quicker it comes the better, because its costing teams trophies and vital points for qualification for the Champions League and surviving in the Premiership.

As a Newcastle supporter, no disrespect to Tottenham supporters, but I hope your bad form continues, I doubt it will, the race for the top four will go to the last game of the season. Chelsea's congested fixture list also helps my team and the fact Newcastle are on good form should give us a great chance to qualify for the Champions League. Hard luck today in the FA cup

But all they have to do is if there is uncertainty of a goal being scored or not, just stop the game for a couple of seconds, use video replays or hawk eye technology.

You can't just "stop the game for a couple of seconds" in an F.A Cup semi-final while the ball is being booted around in the box with people throwing their bodies at it!

Ya, I guess so, but I still feel technology should be part of football in the future
