Wasn't the Liverpool game a week or two before the Chelsea game anyway? So by my timing they still might have a week or two before they charge him or not being that Saurez has only just been charged.

Why would he not let him captain the side? After all we've had all sorts of players captain the side with dark histories. Oh am I allowed to use the word dark ? Or is that racist ?
Lets get this right, if Anton Ferdinand had called Terry a honkey c**t nothing would have been done about it. Funny how all these black players have come out the wood work now to give an opinion on a matter that's been blown completely out of proportion. Paul Ince has his say and it goes largely unnoticed.
The media have built it up because it is John Terry. Just like they built up the Sepp Blatter thing. If Terry is racist for that he must be living a pretty damned awkward and torturous horrible life. The owner of Chelsea is Russian, his teams mates have largely been foreign and a lot black players, his managers at club level have all been foreign with the exception of Ray Wilkins stints. Even the England manager's have been foreign, Erikson and Capello !

The word allegedly used by Suarez to Evra was ''negrito'' - which literally translates as 'little black fella' but it's generally used as an affectionate term in Suarez's country Uruguay and other parts of Latin America. Of course Evra being the cunt that he is decides to play the race card. I wonder if his teammate Chiqarito had a word with him to explain the use of the word as he has used it himself before.......

The link is an interview from a couple of years ago while he was playing for Chivas and is in Spanish but in the last paragraph he talks about a goal his teammate scored and he refers to his teammate as "negrito". It has no bearing on the Suarez case obviously but it shows the use of the word is meant to be affectionate in those parts of the world.

Bit harsh to charge Suarez with racism if this is the case.

sad news to report, while i was watchin chelsea v liverpool - saw the liverpool players, manager & staff were all wearin black armbands in a mark of respect to brad jones's son who died from leukaemia, so sad, just like billy sharp's boy louie, another grievin father has lost his son - feel sorry for brad & his family - R.I.P - brad's son

Hmm what a blinkered way to view something, if an American went to a different country and called a black player a 'nigga' would that be ok cause the Americans use it in their culture as a term in friendship

How is Evra supposed to know what it means in another country? Espically when these players ain't friends and are currently playing in a game between two of the biteress rivalries in English football.

Anyone noticed how little media coverage/condemnation Blackburns blatant cheating is getting, is this purely down to it been Blackburn who dont sell coloum inches or are people's views on cheating changing due to the frequency it's now happening in the modern game?

I think it has a lot to do with the fact it was "only" Blackburn and Wigan playing. Had it have been any of the "big" sides on the receiving end of what happened to Wigan you would of seen absolute uproar. The papers would have torn shreds out of Blackburn and the FA would of been a disgrace, the officials branded useless people screaming for video replays the lot.
It is the nature of the beast in the modern game. I can't believe the direction football is heading and people are caught up by it all. If you aren't in Premier Greed then on your bike. You'll receive next to no newspaper coverage, TV coverage, money from TV deals. Oh and you will even have your youth players taken away once the EPPP comes into effect.

"If an American", If it was a white American it would be racism but if it was an 'African American' as they say, then he/she could argue that it's a social term they use in their own country/society & didn't know it would cause offence in the situation they were in with another black man/woman.
The same as Luis Suarez could say, it's a frase used through the americas i.e Uruguay & Mexico as Mr Hernandez will also testify.

If the FA have any sense given it was also used in an interview by Hernandez back in Mexico they'd throw the charge out but state to all players & staff from south & central America that eventhough it's a social term on their continent, here in Europe it could be viewed as a racist term so should refrain from using it in future.

Come on are some of you serious? At what point during that game was he been affectionate towards evra? Its Quite obvious that he was using that term to wind evra up, Those two where not friends on that pitch and the fact some of you are willing to defend him on some kind of culture mix up is a massive cop out.

Next you'll be saying that spain should be let off with the monkey chants cause they dont know its a racial slur towards black players or let that player the other week for spitting at the wolves player just cause he didn't know it was disrespectful


Also your point about the white American and it been racist, correct me if I'm wrong but Suarez isn't black, even though it's a different word used both phrases said by a white man to a black man must be considered racist
