I like him Yoda.Any time i've seen him play i've been impressed. He's a Liverpool type player for me.Think he'd fit in well to what Kenny's trying to build.Only 21 i think? The owners policy is to buy the most talented young players out there and Henderson fits the bill.Could be a great buy mate.

18.5million = a laugh... more like 8.5million is more reasonable for a player like him who havnt exactly achieved anything yet. For 18.5 million we can get a classy player, 35mil for carroll was pushing it but this is taking the piss. I would rather inject that money into ashley young, lennon or even Honda. Future potential, Yes but for now I would rather hold on to that money and spend it more wisely

RE: Liverpool FC
I've not seen much of Jordan Henderson but some of the clubs he's been linked with says he can't be a bad player & £15m is about the size of the asking price for this kind of potential tallent nowadays especially if their English, £18m+ is a bit silly unless it's £12m-£15m plus add-ons with regards to appearances & performances.

Look at Alberto Aquilani & Glen Johnson, neither of which are worth the money we payed, yes it's still early but I can't see Andy Carroll being worth £35m, although the difference being we brought in £50m from which the £35m came from so the money on this occasion isn't such a big deal.

alexxxi, As for classy players, you can get a classy player who's young he doesn't have to be over 26 with 7 seasons of experience look at Martin Kelly he should be our first choice right back next season & thats not even his natural position.

Aaron Lennon isn't the best or most consistent of players especially in a 4-4-2 formation which we'll play next season & as for Keisuke Honda I won't say you've not seen him play as for all I know you may have a CSKA Moscow season ticketbladewave but to judge a player on only 3 seasons in 2 of Europe's lesser leagues (The Russian league is up & coming) albeit with a good record as well as a World Cup of which I'm gonna guess this is where you're judging him from then that is only the same as judging Jordan Henderson to be only "Future potential" & not a wise buy eventhough Henderson has played more Premier League games than Honda did World Cup games.

As long as we get a left back & 2 wingers, if we're gonna play 4-4-2 which given the signing of Carroll we've not got a choice, then I'd be happy with that.

I'd love to see Stephen Warnock come back & he'd cost no more than £2m & he'd be a good player for Jack Robinson to learn from given his experience at the club.
Charles N'Zogbia would do me just fine at £9m-£12m but to be honest I don't think we'll get Ashley Young although I base this on all the talk of him going or supposedly wanting to go down the East Lancs road & even less chance of getting Adam Johnson so I'd rather we put Martin kelly at right back with
John Flanagan as cover & put Glen Johnson on the right wing at least untill the January transfer window, N'Zogbia & Johnson would give us all the natural width we need to feed Carroll with Luis Suarez running from deep even with a central partnership of Lucas & Jay Spearing should Steven Gerrard &
Raul Meireles be out.
To be honest I can't wait till we start putting bids in for players so we can see for certain what kind of players we're trying to sign as at the minute we're being linked with more players than Man City, Chelsea & Real Madrid put togetherRolleyes

Xabi Alonso has supposedly said he'd be open to a return to Anfield as he still has passion for the club. I read this on the Sky Sports text so don't know where it's come from but if it was an interview with someone from a Liverpool point of view i.e. website or magazine then I think he's just pleasing the mouth than asks albeit with a sincere answer but if it was just any old interview then there may be some inkling of a possible transfer although I can't see Real wanting to sell him & they'd want to get most of the £30m they payed back & at 29 that would be a bit much to ask for, then again given we've just spent £35m on Andy Carroll, spending £18m-£22m on the return of our one time linchpin would be a great buy given that his style could see him play untill he's 35 or 36, it'd be like signing Gary Mac only with a few more years leftBig Grin...... Dream onRolleyes

Nice blog explaining dalglish signings Smile

Would love to see alonso back at liverpool especially with his set pieces and thru balls for suarez. who knows maybe dalglish might go for him... sneaky 15million bid for him lol. I wouldnt mind aquilani back just to give our midfield a bolster but if his heart isnt there he might aswell go bk to italy. as for a certain liverpool forward... robbie fowler he left his australian club to head bk to for family reason along with his coach badges... maybe dalglish will sign him up as a player coach.

Carroll will prove to be worth every penny for me.Can see him being dynamite next season. He's been knowhere near fit since we signed him.A full pre season should do the trick and we'll see the red wrecking machine at his best. Wink

Gerrard,Carroll and Suarez have the ability to win us the league.I wouldn't swap Carroll and Suarez for any other partnership in the league. With a few additions in midfield to supply some extra ammo we'll be bang in the hunt next season hopefully.

Kenny said we'd only be going for top drawer players so an exciting summer ahead.

Looking around on other forums, a lot of people seem to think Soto is on his way out for a price in the region of 1.5-2m. Not sure, but even Rangers can afford that nowadays Tongue

Did you guys not see Xabi Alonso's hour long interview on LFCTV on Sunday night??

Here's a link for a few extracts... http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-ne...ing-to-lfc

Ye should look out for when it's next aired, it was a good watch. LFCTV tend to repeat everything over and over, so i'm sure it'll be aired again this week.

He did say he'd never rule out a return to LFC and that his son, who was born in the city, would be brought up as a red.

Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.

RE: Liverpool FC
Yeah it was good Yoda.I'd love Alonso to come back.If i was manager i'd stick a bid in for him and the other Spanish lad Juan Mata from Valencia. We've heard talk about Young,Downing and Nzogbia for the left wing but Mata's far better than all 3 in my eyes.

Don't know if any of u lads have seen much of him?

Read that Ngog's gonna be part of the Henderson deal.
