27 is at a players prime, should have got atleast £85m

age is a factor in transfer fees, neymar is worth more than ronaldo and robben even though they are better players than him cos neymar is a lot younger, bale was 24 when madrid signed him and he is worth more than suarez

I didn't say age was not a factor though, I just said I think we should have got more for him, I didn't mention Bale... To liverpool he was worth more than £75m but his release clause was put in before he won all those awards at the end of the season..

If he was given the contract after he won the awards liverpool would have set the clause a lot higher than it was..

man utd sold ronaldo for £80m when he was 24, even though he's better now at 29 is he worth more than £80m now? £75m is good money for suarez, would you buy him back in three years time for say £50M? of course you won't

If he is going to Score 30 goals a season for 3 seasons and we were not bothered about re sale value and win us the CL then yes..

I'm don't especially care about them either, but I'd wary about being too withering about them. They've finished above Liverpool for four out of the last five seasons.
