Disbelief. The smile was an instinctive and genuine reaction. The tears at the end were self-pity. Suarez is like Muttley; he wants an individual medal to pin to his chest before anything else. From the Liverpool perspective I wonder if the most likely way in which the tide could turn in their favour is with the following scenario.
After 75-80 mins Liverpool are winning comfortably.
Meanwhile at the Etihad it is 0-0. Man City would start the game aiming to win but if it is 0-0 with 10-15 minutes left their players might start to be in two minds.
Do we stick or twist? Do we keep going forward and leave ourselves open to a counter or do we sit back and defend for the draw to win on goal difference?
Strange things can happen with sportspeople feeling uncertain.
Clarity of thought is everything. Liverpool have no alternative but to win their game.
Man City can play for a draw and sometimes that can wreak havoc when the finishing line is close .
Unless Liverpool can win 14-0 of course .

Why do madrid feel the need to buy every top player under the sun?.... if they think £70m is enough they are on drugs... if bale was apparently £90 - 100m they need to pay more than that...
