The guy has a mistake in him and isn't an upgrade on Reina.

Buffon, Neuer, Casillas, Cech and Lloris are world class goal keepers. Valdes must certainly isn't by any means.

Dan I don't think we don't need an upgrade on Reina, all we need is another backup keeper who can challenge him more for the starting place, we don't need too replace Reina, yes he has a mistake in him too but is a world class keeper, same as Valdez is, Neuer, Casillas, Buffon, Cech and Lloris are all world class too but all make mistakes now and again, an example was Lloris when we played spurs last week. He is still world class though.

it's a centre half we need not a 'Keeper if ya ask me. and a centre midfielder too as I reckon Shelvey will be shipped out at the end of the season hasn't been around the team in a while now.

Also really looking forward to getting Martin Kelly back, he might just solve the centre half issue and save us a few quid

Valdes being good with his feet won't get him anywhere in a Premier League six yard box, there's 3 maybe 4 better keepers in Spain. If & I doubt he will, Pepe does leave, then he'd go for around £15m+ the lad at Chelsea Thibaut Courtois looks class & there was a suggestion that he'd cost £17m should they want to sell him.

A centre half is the priority but I don't see why we need to spend what will probably be £10m on Ashley Williams when we have Martin Kelly & Andre Wisdom, Kelly & Agger would be a good partnership, especially with the ball playing confidence that Kelly would've gained playing right back. Give him the chance!!!

If Pepe can't get a quick ball out to the midfield then a short ball to the centre backs to carry/play it to Gerrard/Allen/Henderson who'll then be looking to play it on to Suarez/Coutinho whilst whoever doesn't receive it joins Sturridge in getting into a goal scoring position in the box.

Perfect counter attacking style, no I'm not we should play counter attack but it's something we could use to open up teams by letting them come at us. A solid centre back pairing who are confident with their feet would breed masses of confidence into the back line.

I hope we don't go for Williams. There's better centre backs out there than that lad.

unfortunately that's the sort of player we're in the market for these days, I'd rather Kelly than Williams, and if we had to buy a premier league centre half Shawcross would be my choice out of the players we could realistically get.

I agree we don't need another number one keeper, I really want Reina to stay, he's one of the main players within the squad and not just on the pitch but off it aswell, But if Reina did go I just think out of the possibilities Valdez would seem the most like for like who will probably be available who has many years experience of playing out from the back.

I don't think that chelsea would wan't to sell Courtois as he looks really promising and a great replacement for cech.

As for the CB issue I agree we need 2 or 3 who are comfortable on the ball, Skrtel looks as though he has struggled to adapt to the new system and is more of an old fashioned CB who just likes to go in hard and clear the ball. I think if he did go we'd fetch around 7-8 mil for him, I heard a rumour zenit were interested in him.

If he did go a few CB's who might fit our system could be Sakho from PSG he's young, has captained PSG Strong Pacey and commands the defence.



Another option would be Diego Godin.

Why do you seem to think we are in the market for players like Shawcross? We are Liverpool FC not Stoke City.... realistically we can get players of a much higher calibre than Shawcross, we have money and we have some great players and we can interest far bigger names...
