Huntelaar has extended his contract with Schalke today apparently

I very much doubt David Villa will leave Barca, given he's got 2 years left on his contract & cost them over £32m only 2 years ago. He's a massive favourite at the Camp Nou, he's also 31 & on big money.

Klass Jan Huntelaar has just signed a new 2 year contract at Schalke.

Daniel Sturridge will be a good signing if it happens, he'll probably sign for 4/5 years, he's young, can play any of the top 3 positions & for those who say he's selfish, well so is Suarez!

Apparently they dont see him as part of their immediate plans, he rarely makes it off the bench, he's like 4th choice behind pedro, tello, sanchez, they will look to sell him now while theres 2 years left to get a decent amount for him

According to sky swansea are going to go in for him!
Come on Rodgers if swansea are capable.. Surely this is a no brainer!

Exactly thats what I heard as well about Villa.

Since he broke his leg he has been out of favour at Barcelona.

He shouldn't cost too much. About 8-10 million would do the trick for a club to buy him.

Also as well as Swansea, Arsenal are also reportedly interested in signing Villa.

I really think Villa is the type of player that can get Liverpool back into the Champions League.

I'm not sure if you are suggesting Liverpool go and buy Dani Alves, but if you are, I don't think they need him.

PS Just when I wrote this, I read on Sky Sports News that Barcelona will not sell any of their star players including Villa in the January transfer window. So it looks like Liverpool will have to look elsewhere if they wish to buy another striker/winger in the January transfer window.

But do Barcelona class villa as one of their star players? I'm not suggesting we specifically need to go and buy Alves, Although if we offered barca say 18 - 20 mil for both, you couldnt complain at that, you could easilly play alves as a winger too, just as downings been doing of late.

Just FYI, Sturridge is the most selfish player I've ever seen in a Chelsea shirt, very frustrating, awful decision maker, inconsistent finisher, poor passer.

However...I always felt with him that if we played him up front he would of scored a hatful of goals, certainly more than Torres anyway, so wouldn't surprise me one bit if he's a success at Anfield

He won't be played up to if suarez is fit. He failed at Chelsea 3 different managers did not like him they can't all be wrong
