Ancelotti is one of the best managers of the last 30 years, I would take him straight away, maybe Alonso to Real and Ancelotti to Liverpool?
Think it would be a surprise if he is sacked at the min tho...
I don't want Tuchel, massively overrated, he hammers his players in public if they don't perform, that doesn't work nowadays, that worked 20 years ago, how many times do you hear Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti hammer their players in public? It's rare, one of the reasons why Jose and Conte are being left behind...

To an extent Football owes Klopp a massive thank you, his approach to the game has been a breath of fresh air and I think for the most part his teams play with a certain amount of confidence and freedom of expression, yet very rarely has he openly criticised a player. That's why I think he would be simply amazing as German national coach, and Germany under him. would be stronger than before, whether he is too old for the job now remains to be seen, but I know deep down most non liverpool fans respect him for what he has brought to the game here and we will still show him respect if he was coach of the national German
site and yet, I'm sure many of us feel what a wonderful fit he would have been for England!

While I agree steeping into th role is a massive undertaking for any body at the moment, but I think to be honest it is far less of a poisoned chalice of a job than it is at United. Whoever replaces is inheriting a a very strong team and absolutely wonderful opportunity.

If Alonso did turn it down I would wonder how many Liverpool fans would accept Ancelotti in Anfield given he managed Everton. Could Liverpool even tempt Ranieri from Cagliari?
