I think you'll find that was always the case for a very large percentage of daytime callers.

It was meant to be read as a light-hearted account of an attempt to disprove what I had been arguing - that these shows are no longer for 'us' - that the DTW'r could relate to. Nothing more.

^ They never were for you alone. The shows have to cater for as wide an audience as possible. A subset of DTW's whose only desire is a splash and dash based on innuendo is not sufficient to make the Dayshows profitable. That's why they also have specialist daytime services.

All parts of the audience count and from the repeated callers that girls get it seems to me that the daytime chatter is where the money is.
