The Raid:

If you like your action full on then this is just one of the best crime/ chop socky movies you could wish to see, the stunts are incredible, i wont go into specifics as kalel has covered most of them in an earlier post, all i will say is this is one blu ray that simply must be owned. 9/10

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
I recommend Contraband on blu ray, excellent transfer of the film at 1080p, all the images look rich and detailed and pretty much grain free, the sound is great as well and benefits from a home cinema system. Theres a handful of extras and the added bonus is you get both a ultra violet digital copy and a digital copy so you can use the ultra violet copy via a app and the digital copy via iTunes. Worth picking up and over the net its now only £9.95 a steal at that price.

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
All depends on which one your more of a fan of, with the Harry Potter box set that is a limited edition and out of the three its the dearest but for what you pay you get tons and tons of stuff with it compared with the other two. The Bond one is nice and its the second dearest of the lot so if your a big bond fan then its worth picking up. The Lord of Rings is the cheapest out of the three but you get loads of stuff with that too no where near as the Harry Potter boxset, again depends on what you can afford and what one you like the most either way there all good choices.

Having got the LOTR extended set lancealot, and the Harry Potter standard set (would love the limited edition one) LOTR would be my choice over your two suggestions as i just think its a quality all round set, but whatever you decide they are both fantastic sets and make great viewing.

I highly recommend Men In Black 3 on blu ray, the picture quality is really good, not only are all the images highly detailed but the colours are deep and rich and really shows off the film on blu ray. The sound quality is really good and if you have a home cinema system your in for a treat. As for the extras there's a good few on the disc plus you get bonus blu ray extras not available on the dvd and you get a ultra violet copy of the film as well. Its a great film to have in your collection Smile.

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
This blu ray i really highly recommend and that is Blade, for me its one of the most under rated marvel films and really deserves more attention, not only great acting by Wesley Snips who was to play Blade, but also a great sound track and action too. First the the picture quality is awesome its why better then dvd version for the most part its crystal clear and when theres fast moving action happening on the screen the images always look crisp and detailed. Because of the film takes place at night its dark but all the dark colours always look rich and deep. The sound also shines out here as its being given a 5.1/DTS make over this has to played through a home cinema system to get the full benefits of the sound especially with great sound tracks playing through the film. As for the extras there more then a handful to watch and a interesting feature about the origin of Blade and a look at the comic of Blade. I would seriously recommend buying this even if you have it on dvd as its worth the upgrade plus for the first time its uncut and its only £8.00 Smile.

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
agree with you about blade kalel, one of my fav comic book films and will be getting it on bluray

im reccomending another film in the blade franchise Blade Trinity which is the 3rd film. you get 2 versions of the film, the uk cinema release and an extended cut of the film along with 2 commentaries, documentaries, blooper real, trailers etc. very very good value for just £10

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
Forgot about this blu ray Demolition Man, for me it was a classic Sylvester Stallone film along with Wesley Snipes. The transfer is great and way better then how it was on dvd, for the most part its crystal clear, the colours look rich especially dark colours when there on screen. The sound quality is great too if you a home cinema set up then you'll really benefit from it. The extras are a bit poor am afraid would have loved to seen a lot more especially with t being on blu ray. i highly recommend picking this up as not only is it very cheap but also for the first time on blu ray its uncut. If you already have this on dvd and like the film i would say its worth getting to replace the dvd version.

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
I highly recommend the film Ghostbusters on blu ray, now i've recommend this film before but what makes this a little different is that its the steel book version. Now the design of the steel book is beautiful with the steel book having a jet black finish and front has the Ghostbusters logo while the back has the image of the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man. The inside art work is quite nice with the four ghostbusters with a scene take from the film, the only little disappointing thing is because theres a small red tint it makes it hard to see the image. The film transfer is the same as it was before theres a little bit of grain here and there not nothing too bad to spoil the film, the sound quality it great too. There's the same amount of extras as there were on the previous release but the one big difference is now you get a ultra violet copy of the film. All in all its worth picking if your a Ghostbusters fan or even a steel book collector and its under a tenner too not a bad price for a steel book, worth a upgrade from dvd. Still hoping for a release of Ghostbusters 2 on blu ray which i heard they are working on.
