Yes you're right, many channels have been and gone in the time that this channel has been around. It's survived when most others haven't.

but how many times has it changed hands in that time comes a time when it doesnt become viable as a business

It’s all murky, you look at all the babe channels parent companies they’ve all changed hands over time, or had new board members / investors and in the case of a couple cases use of new companies to ensure they survive . Just a simple search on companies house / company check and you can track the histories.

I think as it seems to be going the models need to understand engagement is key now more than ever (Lanta & Georgia b seem to get it). The channels need to enable this (certainly the restricting chat members / viewers isn’t a good way to do it) but only time will tell how it will pan out. The one thing they all need to watch out for is the likes of CB giving the models all the things they need tools / platform wise to succeed and the channels could very quickly get left behind. Maybe concentrate on getting a good stable flexible platform right then grow.

Dont know doesnt matter what management is like if you got a shitty owner who sees it as a vanity project like one of the owners they had was


Would BS have lasted this long if it wasnt part of a larger group ie cellcast being publicly traded company sometimes its good to be run by accountants ok BS fucked up with BSX but it wasnt the same as spending money on a vanity project like a Magazine at a time when all the lads mags were all closed down

Agreed there needs to be healthy competition, no one wants to see a channel be it tv or web based fail. Think the thing we're missing at the moment is something more unique. That's not helped when two of the main channels are joined almost at the hip in what they can do by the tech platform they all use, they may be independently owned but all take there tech from same place (certainly for the web) and its a tad restrictive and almost feels held together with sticky plasters and rubber bands as we've seen lately across all the channels. End all of the day all everyone wants is good and safe channels the girls like working for and good content.
