I think it went because funds and/or babes were not available to make it viable,far better to spend what money they have got for better sets and agreeing a fee with Tashie to get her on nights.

Can't see tashie jackson ever doing nights even if s66 said to her "we will pay you whatever you want to do nights". But you never know, she may be doing tease hours as a stepping stone to do full nightshows like what Hannah Martin did.

As for why 940 has gone, could be one of several reasons. It was running as a full time s66 channel over recent weeks so perhaps s66 were seeing what money they could make from it and decided that it wasn't making enough to keep so have given the licence back for 940, they do still have the other 3 channels though (935, 936 and 942). Interesting to see what will happen with them now. S66 was apparently going to have a 4th channel of its own so that it would be golden girls and 4 channels of their own

I can't work out was going on with Sky Ch 940 "Play TV 2", it was only granted a licence in January according to Ofcom, so can't see the licence being handed back that quick . http://licensing.ofcom.org.uk/tv-broadca...tes/012014

Digital Dave pointed out previously that the channel and licence was not owned by Prime Time TV the licence holder/ultimate parent company of the other 24 hour STD 66 channels.
Play TV 2 was owned and licensed by a new company called "Play TV Broadcasting Limited" shown in the Ofcom link i provided .

I don't think they broadcast the channel over recent weeks to see how much money they could make from it as Rammy gives as a possible reason because it never to my knowledge broadcast a separate show of is own. it was just a copy of 912, so they wouldn't know how much a independent broadcast on 940 would make .

I can't think of a explanation why it's gone to be honest . Maybe it's just temporary thing ? ,

I think it probably is temporary as the channel is actually still broadcasting, although it's just colour bars at the moment. I can view it as I have a generic satellite receiver, but it will also be available in 'other channels' on a Sky box. I'll update you if it changes.

Play TV broadcasting Ltd is 100% owned by Eli Thomas Nathenson, who is also the main founder and shareholder behind all the other S66 channels, so Play TV is certainly part of the family.

I agree that Play TV 2 was never a standalone channel up to now. Coming off the epg might be due to a delay in starting up the new channel and a need to save money.

I think it's confusing to have introduced Play TV as a name, yet also introduced Golden Girls TV which goes out on the Play TV channel. I wonder if S66 is planning on branding Play TV 2 as Golden Girls 2, and if so, are there enough MILFs to cover it?

Edit: Re. Darren's post above, perhaps the LA show will be on Play TV 2.

seen that it is Siri that is doing this show from LA perhaps this is the reason why 940 is off as digital dave has said, perhaps to iron out any technical issues to do with doing shows from LA, then bring it back and do regular shows from LA on it if the siri show is a success

That actually good be a good and viable idea if and it's a big IF they get the right girls probably for one of specials the likes of the guest pornstars .
Siri of course and other popular worldwide talent like kagney linn karter and jada Stevens and especially Sophie Dee as she is either in the u.k or America and could be a more regular option!
Also just wondering that because it is streamed from America is it covered by their tv guidelines?

since it will be shown on sky, presume it will have to follow Ofcom's rules. if s66 do these LA shows regularly presume they will use the guest us & british porn stars that have already been on s66 like sophie dee, tanya tate, siri, tori black and alexis texas

Also the option of sunny outdoor backdrops instead of the usual indoor studio-sets thanks to the time difference because 11pm-1am over here is 3pm-5pm in California
