Recording from tv

Hi, can anyone tell me how the tv footage is recorded then placed on the board?

A few ways first of all you need an external recording device such as what i use here >> http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us...corder.htm
This pugs directly into your tv or skybox or freeeview reciever and just connect a USB flash drive to it for recording onto, then copy the files onto the hard drive and upload to the forum.
Alternitavely a DVD recorder and rip the recorded files to pc and edit in various formats, and convert to avi or wmv whatever your preference and again upload to the forum.

can you buy this product in Britain firebird and if you can how much is it?

@ Rover Yes Rover it is available in the UK i have seen it in PC world, and of course you can buy it from Pinnacle themselves.
But dont do that!!
I got mine from QVC shopping channel last year when it was on offer @ around £90 and saved a good fortune by not getting it direct from pinnacle etc. £120.00 approx
I have just checked and they still have it Introductory Price £79.82 and its even cheaper now, i may just get another one.

Hey Firebird! I've been debating about one of these for a while now, good to see someone on here who has been using them and I've at least seen the results n quality for myself. Sold!! lol.

I bought a new TV recently. It has a USB socket into which a normal USB memory stick can be plugged. Freeview programs can be recorded direct to the stick as .mpg files. The quality is the same as the original freeview transmission. One hour is 2GB filesize.
It can record as you are watching, or from the EPG while the TV is in standby mode.
