RE: Ofcom Discussion
It's funny because I sometimes roll my eyes at people who think everything is a conspiracy, but it's beginning to look like an agenda is at play here ^.

More penises, less vaginas? Gay agenda? More gay employees working for OfCon?

Seems a little sexist to me.

Surely there is enough of Piers Morgan on tv already ?

Well the head of Ofcom is currently a woman, so how does that fit with your 'gay conspiracy' Big Grin

Also, it's the BBFC carrying out the research, not Ofcom, so has more to do with film classifiactions than tv content.

It's rather ironic though that the government has handed over it's porn website age verification to the BBFC who are now looking into the possiblity of liberalising these classifications Smile
This could have a knock-on effect, as I seem to recall that the ratings were to be used as the benchmark for classifying web content, so if boners are no longer an 18 certificate, then many websites would no longer fall into the AV system Big Laugh

We should still run a poll on where Piers Morgan actually fits into all this though, is he classified as a cock or a cunt Bounce

RE: Ofcom Discussion
Ofcom have announced that from 1 January 2019 post-watershed programming will be allowed to be broadcast by channels before 9.00pm so long as the channel uses a mandatory daytime protection PIN system.

As it stands, this won't apply to babe channels (I think) because it won't be permitted on free-to-view channels. (Someone cleverer than me can explain the difference between free-to-view and free-to-air channels, and which one the babe channels are.) There are a number of other hurdles which, as they stand, might mean the babe channels don't comply. But I wonder if we are one (albeit tiny) step closer to being able to watch nightshows during the day?

How I understand it is channels which are free to view on all platforms such as BBC and ITV wouldn't be allowed to broadcast adult content during the day but channels such as Sky Atlanta which are " free" as part of a basic Sky package would be allowed to show adult content.

Free-to-view channels are provided free of charge but are encrypted, whereas free-to-air channels are both free and unencrypted. The babe channels are free-to-air and therefore aren't affected by the recent Ofcom announcement.

No, because I can't see the channels regarding it as a good idea.

Ofcom have previously wanted the babe channels to be encrypted services only, but the channels have always resisted the move arguing that it would mean broadcasting to a much smaller audience, and would effectively put them out of business.

This being the channels' stance, they are hardly likely to use an encrypted transmission to broadcast a night show during the day, as it would instantly demolish their argument that they need to broadcast on a free-to-air basis in order to survive.

Not all the daytime babe channels are free to air, 3 are free to view during daytime hours, Babestation/Cellcast broadcasts programs on 3 daytime channels that are free to view during the day.(but can't currently be viewed without a viewing card)
Sky channels 903, 907 and 922 are all free to view channels during the day, (We are talking about day time shows showing harder content during the day) but are encrypted pay channels at night .

I't's easy to check if you have Sky what channels are free to air and what are free to view, just take out the Sky viewing card from your Sky box, free to air channels will still be available to watch, whereas the free to view channels will show a message telling you to insert your viewing card .
You don't need to be a Sky subscriber to have a Sky viewing card or to watch free to view channels, just a viewing card that can be purchased without being a Sky subscriber .

RE: Ofcom Discussion
^ pictures of women in bikinis are banned on any billboard advertisements on the London Underground.

So I don't hold out much hope of them being allowed on Babeshows in Britain.
