Chelsea Transfer Ban
Chelsea have been banned from signing any new players in the next two transfer windows by Fifa, being found guilty of inducing French winger Gael Kakuta, 18, to breach his contract with Lens when he joined in 2007

W...T...F...
Just with Eduardo incident UEFA/FIFA seem to be deciding to make examples of teams/player by imposing very harsh punishments

Very shocked at this although Im sure every non-Chelsea fan is loving this though

At least we have currently got a very good squad, unfortunately though its an aging squad and whether they can keep up their quality remains to be seen so the only positive i can see soming out of this is that it will hopefully see a lot more of our youth players (e.g. Kakuta, Stoch, Sinclair Mancienne, Cork etc.) coming through

On a side note...iv'e watched Kakuta play a few times and this kid is amazing, hopefully he'll be worth it in the end

It is a bit harsh but they did tap up ashley cole, ferdinand and maybe with mikel. As for saying they're picking on english teams, rubbish, eduardo did dive fair enough ronaldo, torres, drogba all have dived in the past but uefa have to start with someone

I wish I could go back in time and kill whoever invented Breast Implants!!!!!!

I doubt if they are loving it. They are probably wondering whether their club is going to be next. Man Utd are already under investigation by FIFA in a case which is said to be very similar to the Chelsea case.

I think they got what they deserved. Lens did warn them that they would go to fifa if they done it and chelsea still done it.

I didn't know Chelsea had a player called Ferdinand. What position does he play?

I thought the punishment was a bit on the harsh side, you can't help feeling that U.E.F.A. and Michel Platini have got an agenda against the Premier league at the moment, and are trying to bring the top clubs down a peg or two.
It will be interesting to see the transfer ban works, does it apply to out of contract players (Bosmans)? i think this will end up in the courts for sure,i can't see Chelsea accepting this punishment.

As far as i know we are banned from registering any new players so my assumption would be that this includes Bosmans etc.
As for the appeal i really doubt it will be overturned however i do think that it may get reduced to perhaps one tranfer window rather than two
Apparently there was a case similar to this a few years back involving Roma and they won their appeal so you never know

It will be interesting to see what happens with Man U's case also

It's not a vendetta against the English as Roma have already been done for this when the signed Mexes from Auxerre. Mexes got a long ban and Roma were placed under a transfer embargo for a set period of time.

I thought this case was dealt with by FIFA and was nothing to do with UEFA.
