Freeview channel changes for Cellcast shows

Oh.. I didn't know that.

I still don't think they'd see a daytime babe channel as the best use of the space though.

Having said that.. I don't think any commercial channels would want to buy the space in the current climate, quiz TV isn't anywhere near as popular as it was and I don't think any shopping channels would want the space either.

You never know I guess.

It's a moot point - the channel already belongs to Cellcast.

I'd seen it posted elsewhere recently that Babestation Daytime was no longer transmitted on Freeview. It used to be on both ch97 and ch99 at 5.30am to 6.00am.
I was checking the EPG last night and sure enough, there was nothing on ch97 at 5.30am after Partyland ended.
I did notice however that there was a program called Babestation on ch99 starting at 5.00am (after Live99 ended) and finishing at 6.00am. I was curious and recorded it.
It was just one hour of advertising for E-lites, gym equipment, hands free set for phones in cars and hair grips.
And people think there's too much advertising on ch96 pre midnight.

It looks like the last half hour of Babestation which used to be on ch99 at 5.00am has been lost as well as BS Daytime.

Yeah, I had heard about that. Mind you, I never stay up that late anyway!

Channel 96 will start at 11pm from thursday night mean you will only get babestation for a hour before you have to switch over to channel 94

I wonder if it's an attempt at a compromise with the regulator regarding their proposals for a midnight kick-off on Freeview.

Yes i was also wondering if the switch from 10pm to 11pm was some sort of compromise between Cellcast and OFCOM, because if BS1 was not allowed to transmit before 12am how could they advertise BSXtream before the it starts and how could you press the red button and get your pin before midnight , unless of course they started Xtream later . Also i have just re- scaned my tv and freeview recorders and tv news 2 channel 90 has been removed , so this leaves space available on freeview for someone to broadcast a show for 24 hours a day , BLUEBIRD perhaps ? , they did say a daytime show was under consideration .
