Guys, although the general feeling on this thread seems to be one of disgust / dismay at the route Danica has taken, if you have a read through her tweets, the exact opposite reaction seems to be happening.

For me, I'm just sad that we will probably not see her giving her finest performances on elite again.

Naturally, Danica only re-tweets or replies to the positive tweets. If you enter one of the hash tags used for the program, you will read a different story.

I was considering writing something rather more detailed on the rinsing thread but I can't be bothered at the moment so I'll just confine myself to a few observations about Danica in the show.

She's a very pretty young woman, although there are plenty in the industry, who appears to like living a luxurious lifestyle and does so by trading on her good looks which will not last forever. She is a glamour model and is both expoited by and exploiting that position to secure material items that she 'wants' in a deluded attempt to secure a degree of happiness. The men who buy her these gifts are similarly deluded in thinking that they buy some form of intimacy with her that isn't a feature of their lives.

Is this reprehensible? Yes, but it is representative of a society based on patriarchy and materialism that means that we are vainly pursuing happiness and fulfilment through these processes. Danica is pretty but pathetic wheras the men are just the latter...

Do I want to see Danica back on screen? I'm not really that bothered to be honest, I always thought she was good at times but a bit over-rated.

It will have been channel 4's most watched show this year.

If that means danica is back on elitetv hope she's ready for the flack
