Slow boards help!!!... check here

Bit of an unusual time, even in the US, that's outside normal office hours.

This is just to confirm that the work on the server carried out this morning has now been completed.

Leading webhosts need to provide a service at all hours for the simple reason that websites are in use at all hours. As for the downtime required this morning it wasn't too extensive in the end. The site was stopped a number of times but never for very long. The forum was never offline for more than 10 minutes at a time.

I got this 503 error this morning twice.

Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Not sure what it will be like later but at the moment the forum is running faster than it has for a long time..

I was unable to access anything on the forum for a few minutes around 10.05am this morning.
Other sites were ok at the time.

EDIT : and also at around 10.35am and 11.50am, but only for less than a minute.

The server isn't showing any errors or problems this morning. If you get such a message again I suggest running a tracert command, as that is probably the only way to diagnose where the cause of the problem is.

Anyone else having problems with getting onto the forum tonight seems when i try to load it up from my favorites or Google it seems not to load an has only let me on a handful of times seems to be doing the same thing with chat as well

Chat is on a different server, so if you had a problem with the forum and with chat it wouldn't have been a server problem. The servers are both in the same location though so it could have been a general problem at the time with connecting to that location.

Is it just me, or has this forum got incredibly slow the last two days, during the afternoons.

I've forgotton how many times I've had to go out of the site and come back in, just to get a page to show. TVgirlsgalley seems to be the same.

And yet almost all other forums and websites are running fine. It just seems to be these two. And only through the afternoons.
