I couldn't agree more Shrute! I said in the days leading up to Liverpool v United that Liverpool would treat it like their cup final and that they would thus put in a month's worth of effort into that one match and that they would then revert to type, and although I got a lot of critcism for saying so, I do seem to know the Liverpool mentality somewhat better than some of their own fans do.

One of the reasons for this is that the Liverpool of today remind me so much of United in the dark days of the late 1980s, where we would also put in a month's worth of effort against a far superior Liverpool side at the time and sadly it was enough to keep our fans happy for weeks afterwards - with that braindead fucker attitude no wonder it's taken us so fucking long to catch up with their eighteen times!

Andy Carroll looked every inch the £35 striker tonght - I just can't believe Liverpool paid that much for him and very much doubt I ever will, although I'm delighted they did as that's most of their Torres money pissed up against the wall - I may be wrong, but like with my month's effort in their cup final comment of the other week, I very much doubt I will be

It was his first start in 3 months and last time i checked he's still the joint top-scoring Englishman in the Premier League, despite missing 3 months of the season. As for pissing the Torres money away?? Never fear mate, there's plenty more where that came from. It's what happens when your club is debt free. Sounds like you might be worried about what's in on our transfer fund because you lot havent a pot to piss in
