Now I'm confused as to why you mention Utd v Chealsea, if you mean the rearranged league fixture then it doesn't matter if they weren't Chelsea players when the original game should've been played the same as you say with any injured players who are now fit.
ok mitchell thanx for your reply.

All the substitutes on the the Manchester City bench were issued with sky blue hot water bottles to stop them cold.... Rolleyes

WTF... and as Mr T would say 'Get some Nuts'

joe jordan, billy bremner and ron "chopper" harris will sort them out.

any footballer wearing snoods, gloves, skins etc should be banned from playing. i hope a play chokes a player wearing the snood, to show them how stupid they are, you dont see the england rugby team wearing.

RE: Football Banter
Mitchell was right regards Torres eligibilily for Chelsea versus United on March 1; when a player is signed by a club then he can play in any league match for his new club, regardless of when a fixture was originally scheduled; bloody hell, they paid £50million for him so they should be allowed to play him!

It's different in cup competitions, where any player in a domestic cup competition becomes cup tied if he has played for another club in that season's competition.

In Europe it becomes even more complicated, as the teams finishing third in their Champions' League groups drop down to the Thursday Night Channel Five Trophy, thus meaning that they will have played in both European cup competitions in the same season.

However, I will take issue with Mitchell's suggestion that Torres was ineligible for Chelsea yesterday against Everton; yes, he was on the pitch at Old Trafford for the third-round tie, but to suggest that he actually played would be stretching things just a tad...;

fair enough in training where you might be standing around for time, long runs but for 45 minutes of running under floodlights should keep them warm without snoods, skins, gloves etc. the modern footballer is a big softy.
