@Chilly....I'm all for the re-development of Anfield. If this is true then it'd make me happy. No doubt an increased capacity was essential from a financial point of view and a new stadium seemed to be the only option for a long time. However, the thought of Anfield being knocked to the ground made me feel sick. There's too much history, too many great memories and too much love for the old stadium to see it reduced to rubble. If this re-development can be agreed with the authorities and can done quickly and not cause too much disruption during the season then it'll a win win situation.

On another matter, young John-Jo Shelvey has been ruled out for 3 months with a knee injury. That's a terrible shame for the lad as he was beginning to find his feet. He's a good young prospect and he will come back from this set-back.

Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.

"The Main and Anfield Road stands are likely to be torn down and rebuilt, probably similar to the Centenary stand". So how will this work without disrupting team for 2-3 seasons while they get torn down and rebuilt??? There's gonna be no atmosphere & more importantly no crowd therefore no revenue so if we don't qualify for the European Cup then where's the money gonna come from unless as probably is the case they already have it.

Personally I'd rather see us build a new stadium & a bigger one than 60,000 as we would no doubt fill an 80,000 capacity every other week & this would give us some immense revenue, yes this would cost £400-£500m but if we spend £20-£27m in the summer then the team will be set for the next 2-3 years & this would give us the chance to bring through some of the good academy players & the money for the rebuilding along with the money from a high Premier League finish & hopefully Champions League football along with any possible success this would give us the money to get the construction three quarters finished at which point we could put 45-55,000 season tickets on sale plus the executive boxes to earn the rest of the money & after maybe 3 or 4 seasons we'd start to make a little bit of profit for the team.

Along with what money is availible at the moment & the new shirt deal I'm sure we could fund most of the stadium & then like I say put the season tickets on sale, 55,000 season tickets at £750 =£41,250,000m this should be enough to build the remaining stand or whatever's left to build... Maybebladewave

Todays game against Wigan was just horrid!

First of all Their goal was offside! but our defending wasn't there!

Second, there was nothing about the team to go on and get a second, its as if we settled for the 1.

Dirk Kuyt, Glen Johnson and Jovanovic played disgusting football and Lucas wasn't too good either. You can kiss bye 4th spot now. Its gone!

What a complete let down!

New Signature coming, soon. Change of heart

RE: Liverpool FC
Bad day at the office. Big letdown after the impressive displays in the few games before. The draw feels like defeatSad

Kuyt was bloody awful. Jovanovic isnt really a footballer is he? He's a comedian and it's all gonna be revealed as a big joke soon enough isnt it!!!!!Tongue

The only plus, as groundnpound said , was the performance of Luis Suarez. Played very well on just his first start and very unlucky not to score 1 or 2. He ran outta gas toward the end and looked tired which was understandable as he had to carry Kuyt on his back all afternoonTongueTongue

Must give a quick mention to Wigan too who came and had a go and deserved their point.

Well I may as well join the gang, Errr it was a, Bad day at the office.

Typical us really we just got past Stoke & Fulham then put in a performance in one of the big games & then the banana skin of the so called lesser teams, we need to get more players of the same quality as Gerrard & Meireles as the rest of the team are only good enough to play around these types of players, the likes of Johnson & Maxi are decent but with no one to play the ball forward to they aren't gonna win games themselves & Kuyt is only ever good in the big games where his running & energy is a good backup to the likes of Gerrard, but in these types of games this is where you start to realise that he isn't a great footballer or someone who the team can look to for inspiration.
This was a big chance lost to put pressure on Tottenham & Chelsea after Cities loss but like I say typical of us!!!

Luiz Suarez looked good in his first start but if he stayed on his feet instead of trying to & winning a free kick he may well have gone on to score, he had a reputation for this in Holland & is gonna have to stop it if he wants to be a hit with us dare I say it but just like Ronaldo did at the Dirty fucks.
