Master Yoda, I don't know if you came across it, but if you didn't go to post#276 on the Football Banter thread, which I posted on Saturday.

It's starting to look ever-so more likely to happen now isn't it? Jamie Carragher is one of the few at Anfield who TRULY gives a toss about the state of his club, and if he said THAT then it seems that the events of the past couple of days have been in motion for quite some time.

Do try 'n' keep up, mate! Us United fans know more about the domestics at Anfield than you scousers, lolBig Grin!

I'm telling you mate, it's gonna happen!

Ian ashbee gone to Preston, this makes me sad.

The greatest club captain ever, a true Hull City great, a Hull City legend.

I spotted the post you are referring to yesterday. Ya unfortunately, i'm resigned to the fact that Torres will be swapping red for blue today. Shame, as he will not receive the same reverence at Chelsea that he did from the Liverpool supporters. He seems to have forgotten the abuse and taunts the Chelsea support have aimed at him in recent times such as being called a ladyboy etc etc!! Still £50 million is a good price but a great lump of that (£35 million i'm hearing) looks set to go on Andy Carroll (who i'm not sure is worth half that amount).

Until it's all signed and sealed i'll can only make light of the situation!!!

As for Carragher. I've said many times before. That man epitomises what loyalty and respect for the jersey he wears is all about. He would bleed for Liverpool FC. He is also a very astute and intelligent lad and is a student of the game of football. Reading his auto-biography, listening to his interviews and seeing his performance on Gillette Soccer Saturday a few weeks back, tells me he lives and breathes the game. He has taken his coaching badges and looks set to make the jump into coaching/management when he retires. He also gets very involved in the acadamy at Liverpool and goes there in his spare time which i'm sure gives the youngsters a big lift. Perhaps a future LFC manager!!! I cant speak highly enough of the man.

Newcastle reject a second bid from Liverpool for Andy Carroll. Nothing certain there.

RE: Football Transfer Window
Just rumors that the deal was done. Newcastle have officially said they've rejected a second bid. Sky are sensationalising everything today. I'm taking no notice. The clubs websites are where to look for official word.
