The Spectrum+3 came with a 3 inch Floppy Disk drive but by this time the company had been taken over by Amstrad...

so I opened up the PSU which didn't look quite so good inside but equally it didn't look knackered either. A quick check of the usual suspects Fuses, mains lead etc) didn't throw up any problems however a "sniff test" did reveal a faint whiff of burnt copper so there's a chance the PSU is dead. A new one is on order which was part of the plan anyway.
