You get a warning letter and 3 weeks to respond. Should be enough for anyone to get it sorted.
And, unlike Reeves, Joe public gets to storm into their office and chew them a new arsehole.

He bottled it, and settled the day before it was due to be heard.

One question on my mind is
If she was letting it out was she trying to get round red tape by trying to claim it as a 'holiday home'? And if she did so, would she have still needed a licence?

When you think how much Boris and his missus spent on doing up No.10... I wouldn't be surprised if Reeves eventually got found out over claiming expenses for decorating N0.11 - or her second home!!

I would finish by saying that to me, Reeves has dug herself a complete sh****le that the press won't let go of and Starmer doesn't have the guts to sack her.

The pre-election cuts in National Insurance by the Conservatives in 2024 (2% in January & 2% in April) were said at the time to be pre-election bribes and unaffordable by some commentators. The OBR estimated the 5 year average cost to be £10.3BN Per Annum. Whoever had won the election we’d still be in the shit financially. They need to bite the bullet and put PAYE, NI & VAT up in some combination & temporarily reverse the cut the Conservatives also made to the Bank Levy.

It’s tough but difficult decisions have to be made.

Labour should replace Reeves with a new chancellor who is named Jim.Then they can say Jim will fix it.

Reeves will be going nowhere, as long as Starmer needs her to hide behind...

In her speech she talked about the affects of austerity, brexit & covid, all of which is correct and exactly the reason why they should have been saying this kind of thing in opposition and she has also spoke of the affect of tarrifs & the need for increased defence spending which was the case last year as well.

The reality is the British state and economy is in such poor condition that the kind of things that need to be done to fix it would see any government voted out at the next election.
