1/4 He regularly uses the Royal Scotsman train, and thus makes a good fit for an extended advertorial for its usage, from the food to the hygiene to the scenery. This week, the West Highland Line, and therefore the bloody Glenfinnan aqueduct.

2/4 Tellingly, he went to Bute by ferry, looked at adventure holidays (not by train), then checked out the special theatre at Pitlochry (also w/o much train action).

Atomic. I enjoyed it, but the ending, well, prepare to be underwhelmed if you're watching it, it made sense but could have been done better.
The order of the last couple of scenes should have been the other way around imo, and the end should have been the ending, if you know, you know.

RE: What TV show did you last watch?
It was originally a TV show but I found it randomly on Youtube so here it goes!

The Martian Chronicles.

Ray Bradbury's epic collection of short stories nailed together & adapted for TV back in 1980. Lots of dodgy (even by early 80's standards) effects, some dubious acting and a lot of totally implausible plot points such as Mars having a breathable, if slightly thin Oxygen atmosphere and the journey to the Red Planet being as little as a month long.....

A pretty decent cast including Rock Hudson, Roddy McDowell, Maria Schell & Barry Morse make the most of a pretty dubious storyline and yet, for the most part it's strangely watchable. I first saw this when it was originally shown on TV and on this second watch I enjoyed it just as much.

I'll give it a 7 out of 10.

Behold the field in which I grow my fucks. Lay thine eyes upon it and thou shalt see that it is barren.

Steve Clemons talks first to somewhat regular guest John Mearsheimer (who's in Chicago) about the new Trump era. Then he talks to Joseph Gagnon (in studio) about the prospects for Trump's trade war.

Mearsheimer is back on to talk about Israel bombing Qatar, then later former diplomat Rob Malley discusses how hard the US is trying to make a two-state solution happen.

The Truth About Len Deighton
An amusing profile from 2005, as Len mentions he was born in a workhouse several times, and also how his writing career became an agreeable accident. Also a good way to cook an omelette. Michael Caine is among the many other contributors. Another author whose work I've never read, although for once with results that at least look intriguing.

GEN V - Season 2 Episode 1

Good start to the long awaited season 2, it picks up with the supes either captured or on the run - solid episode imo. This is a great spin off from The Boys and there's even a cameo in this particular episode, enjoying the start of S2 so far Smile

Late Night w/Seth Meyers
Jessica Chastain and Lily James were likeable, whilst Eva Longoria, then Colin Farrell & Margot Robbie, were all entertaining, too.
