Neil and Martin's Bon Voyage
1/3 Neil Morrissey shows his old mate/colleague Martin Clunes about the bits of France where he now lives. Bits of it look very pretty.

Back from a fortnight break, and yet only 2 of the 4 eps shown were new. The one with Spike Lee and Rainn Wilson was worth seeing, though.

Besides further reporting on which laws Israel are ignoring this week, a good piece on how "the Tech Bros" plunder sci-fi for ideas, ignoring that most sci-fi is about highlighting the problems of our day rather than advocating technical changes.

2/3 To Biarritz, after a sea fishing trip (they did not throw the fish back), then to Laas for obscure festival events like tractor driving and corn spitting. After meeting a sheepdog in a REALLY steep field, they went up in the Pyrenees where there was a snow storm.

The regular gang discuss competing theories on what the universe is doing, and how telescopes with kooky names like the Large Array Telescope, the Small Array Telescope, and of course, Vera Rubin (!) will be part of the quest for answers.
