The Greens were in Government up here. It didn't end well.

The amount of media time Harvie and Slater got up here only helped people see what a shitshow they were with power.
All they did was cost us money and there was fuck-all to show for it. If they'd toned it down a bit, and carried more of the public with them, they would actually have achieved more. Instead they went on an ideological crusade that most people weren't ready for.
Even Humza came to his senses in the end, although he handled it badly.

RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government
The Bill passed by just 75 votes, but from what I read it is stripped of key measures.

So where does this leave Keir Starmer? It certainly does look like he has been humiliated, but considering how they are doing things at the moment, I get the feeling that if he ends up having to do another humiliating u turn on policy to stave off rebels, It wouldn't surprise me if there are beginnings of mutterings within party ranks that he is suddenly looking like he is not up to the job.

I've never voted for them. But feel any party who tries to include them in Government do so at their own peril....

he will be fine least for a while Rachel reeves on the other hand and maybe his chief of staff maybe not

unlike the tory party takes a lot to oust a leader i mean look at corbyn Tongue Tongue

did a ai search and it came up with this

A Formal Challenge (when the party is in Government)
The rules are much stricter when Labour is in government to prevent destabilising a sitting Prime Minister.
A leadership election cannot be triggered by the PLP alone.
Instead, a contest can only be initiated if it is supported by a majority vote at the annual Labour Party Conference. This is a very high bar to clear and has not been used in the modern era.

when not in power would be about 20% of the Labour MPs to trigger a challenge

got a feeling bad enoch will be gone well before Starmer
