A brief tribute to the late Brian Murphy, who died a while back, from a recent live event where his widow Linda gave a teary tribute including a mildly rude joke, which is probably what he wanted. Apart from an OBE, apparently, and an extension to his listed cottage, neither of which he managed to get.

Among predictable guests discussing Trump's Middle East antics, he did talk to Barry Diller about his memoir working for Fox, Paramount and so on. He did at least credit Married With Children with being a big hit for him & them before the Simpsons, though he struggled to describe its plus points (fnar) in a discussion show like this.

In keeping with the series, it was a mish-mash, but hey, they included Dr Who and not Star Trek, so ahahahahahahahahahahaha. The Matrix was a game-changer like 2001, Star Wars and Close Encounters of the etc, but the MCU has also changed things, perhaps not entirely for the better.

3/3 For the first time on this show, they fail to reach their destination because the boat trip to Anglesey is too risky and they can't hang about waiting until it is. Helpfully they have a big cathartic experience on the penultimate day, so that's alright then.

Another enjoyable show, if seeming less arduous than some years. Maybe they'll go somewhere (even) more glamorous in 2025?

Pilgrimage - The Road Through The Alps
1/3 From (near) Innsbruck, the tone seems less abrasive than in many other series, with all-round-nice-guy Jeff Brazier typical of the general tone. The religious questioning gets a bit random, and reality show folk off the Traitors suggest desperation.
