Selby looked to be struggling at 4-2 down, but next time I looked he'd got to 5-4, so maybe he remembered how good he's meant to be.

Zhang's match had to be postponed slightly because of Ronnie-mania (or maybe Mink-mania), so I'm glad it got resolved OK. Maybe Ishpreet will be one to watch.

With China being 8 hours ahead of the UK, a lot of the more interesting matches have already taken place.

Ronnie got his revenge on He Guoqiang for humiliating him in the English Open. A slew of workmanlike breaks got him through with a 6-2 victory.

Judd Trump whitewashed Sanderson Lam, capping it off with a 107 break. Thepchaiya Un-Nooh got an eyebrow raising 6-0 victory over Stuart Bingham, including a 138 break. Tubbs and Mark Williams both went through on a bye after their opponents didn't turn up. Jack Lisowski beat Gong Chenzhi 6-5, making a decisive 68 break in the decider. Wu Yize came back from 3-0 down against Andrew Higginson to win 6-3.

Ronnie was trying his hardest, but Pang Junxu is on the form of his life. Pang shot to a 4-2 lead. Ronnie managed to slow him down and win 2 tactical frames to level at 4-4, making a fantastic 22 clearance in frame 8. Then Pang decided he wasn't going to let the frames become tactical, and won the next to frames to win 6-4 with consecutive centuries of 120 and 123, not letting Ronnie pot a ball.

Jackpot Jack Lisowski is at it again, this time beating Si Jiahui 6-5 with a decisive 58 break in the decider. Wins also for Judd Trump, Mark Selby, Gary Wilson and John Higgins.

Credit to Wakelin, he's getting a few more impressive results than I expect.

Sadly Thepchaiya went out with a whimper losing 6-1 to Mark Williams.

Trump and Pang have lost.

Yesterday Xu Si made a 147 break in defeating Ryan Day 6-2. Today, he came back from 4-3 down to beat Judd 6-4. His highest break was 104, but his breakbuiding was good enough to make Judd to lose the last 3 frames without potting a ball.

Kyren Wilson made 3 centuries in his 6-3 win against Hawkins.

There was drama as John Higgins won the 10th frame on a respotted black to force a decider with Lyu Haotian, He then won the deciding frame with a decisive 68 break.

Xiao Guodong was too granite for Lisowski and beat him 6-3. Gary Wilson beat Selby by the same scoreline. Chris Wakelin beat Mark Williams 6-4. Wins also for Jackson Page and Ding Jinhui.
