Poems: Topical and Funny

The grass needs cutting,
I must mend the gate.
I'm expecting a parcel,
I hope it's not late.
I must get a wash on.
There's the ironing too.
The gas bill needs paying.
There's so much to do.
I must send that email.
I can't really moan,
This is the life,
When you're working from home.

I'm due a long lie in
I must feed the cat.
There's the dishes to do,
I'll get round to that.
I'll de-frost the freezer
If I've got time,
But I'm watching the cricket.
Sky Sports is just fine!
I'll look at that spreadsheet,
Use my mobile phone,
So everyone knows
That I'm working from home.

The daybreak is dawning,
but there's no need for yawning.
You'll get an extra hour snoring
2am Sunday morning.

Extra hour in bed
Has the cat been fed?
It must be the end of October
It'll be dark by five
to dark to drive
And my neigbour's having a sleepover!

When the clocks go back im thanking

That I GET an extra hour for wanking

It's now dark outside
And i'm indoors
ready to cook my tea
but it must wait
I can't eat too late
But now I need a wee!

Mary had a little lamb
It ran into a pylon
10,000 volts went up it's bum
and turned it's wool to nylon!
(a bit of of an oldie)

Oh, my room, a sight to behold,
Where chaos reigns, and clothes unfold.
A floor that's hidden beneath the clutter,
A desk that's buried, no room to utter.

The piles of papers, they tower high,
A leaning tower, reaching for the sky.
The bed, a mountain of twisted sheets,
Where lost socks and old receipts meet.

But in this mess, I find my way,
A organized chaos, I dare say.
For in this room, I am the king,
Of all the treasures, I can sing.

Here I am Sunday morning
half asleep not yet yawning
so still in bed awake since five
I wonder how I'm still alive?

Bur in bed is where I do my best thinking
but I'm happy with my lot
But I know if I have some problems
I can always flush them
down the bog!

The elephant walks like this and like that.

He's very tall, and he's very fat.

He has no fingers, but he does have toes,

And goodness gracious, What a nose!

I never get the Monday Morning blues
Don't ask me why
I just never do

If I do get get down
I just come on to here
For at least I know
I'll get some cheer (for a while)

You guys are Great
some make me smile
Sometimes I forget
al life's problems for a while!

This forum I think
Is one of the best
I Think I'll just
delete all the rest
I've signed up to
or joined over
the years
And with that
I'll probably
shed a few tears
