I think the guy who decided to bet the future of the country on a single yes/no referendum for his own political gain and then lost should be at higher than 3%.

If he just cocked up, then yes.

If he was lent on by Labour however, as is being alleged, that's a whole different ball game.

I'm inclined to believe that Starmer/Labour didn't do anything untoward, nothing nasty or threatening at least. The SNP claiming some sort of ''blackmail'', is a fucking joke.
The Tories and the SNP are looking to damage Labour wherever they can, it's obvious, seeing as they are set to lose a lot of seats to them, according to polls.
If Hoyle hadn't done what he did, I have no doubt in my mind that some other issue would have come up to make this whole thing a mess.

I think that some (Tory and SNP) are making much more out of it than they need to, Hoyle seems a decent human, he made a mistake, but his decision was with good intentions.

I almost fell for Stephen Flynn's 'only adult in the room' act but he's just as politically motivated as the rest of them. The SNP could've worded the motion differently for a unity vote IF they really wanted that but the temptation to cause huge rifts in the party threatening to wipe them out in Scotland was too strong. They could still make great play out of this faux outrage of course, 'the big parties have no respect for Scotland only us' blah blah.

I see Penny Mordaunt was also kicking the political football this morning, painting the picture of Starmer and co in Fedora hats tying up Hoyle in his office with guns pointed at him lol

Hoyle has been an abysmal Speaker IMO, letting too much lies go on in the Commons, but I too think he acted in good faith but rather messed it up.

Of course none of this does a damn thing for Gaza, it never would.
