A lengthier follow-up which saw Rustie making Brussels pate, vol au vents and trifle from a box, whilst the science dude made cheese footballs, after eight mints and sprouts. Also chat about various products such as the chocolate orange - which succeeded the chocolate apple, but was not replaced by the chocolate lemon.
The 1970s Dinner Party
A spin-off with regular contributors Debbie McGee and Rustie Lee inviting 4 celebs to a "typical" meal of the times. Cheryl Baker, Vicki Michelle, Leee John and Johnny Ball might all seem a bit 1980s, but hey, this is the sticks. The food is all fairly different to the series (eg, salad in aspic) but all seem happy.

A Home for Max Miller
A rather cheapo effort about the desire of Brightonians to find a home for memorabilia relating to the career of comic & singer Max Miller. Michael Aspel (who turned 91 yesterday, by coincidence), was the only notable face supporting the campaign. He met the real Max when younger and not yet famous.

They try ice tanks (eek), then an ex-canal, and two other spots that somehow qualify as within Glasgow/Edinburgh.

More Big Fat Lies About Diet & Exercise
Reassuring enough, though at least they didn't push the ridiculous 5:2 diet in this one.

Ted episode 1. Much better than expected, it's set when Johnny is a teen and has sitcom vibes, but a living teddy and lots of swearing. Fun.

Glimpses: Ronnie Waldman's Puzzle Corner
What may have passed for kids shows in the 1950s, as assorted clips are linked by narration, with a Q&A format at times. Harmless, brief, fluff.

RE: What TV show did you last watch?
"War of the Worlds"- Season 3 weekend binge. This is the French/UK version starring Gabriel Byrne.

I watched the first couple of seasons ages ago but never got around to watching the rest until I discovered it on My5 at the weekend. As I didn't have anything better to do I sat on my arse and watched this utter nonsense which bears absolutely no resemblance to the classic H.G. Wells novel. In fact, the Tom Cruise movie of several years ago is closer to the novel Surprised

It's all very silly yet I watched 8 episodes over the weekend so it must have something going for it, although I have yet to figure out what that is laugh

Only 3 things in life are certain. Death, Taxes and lesbians will never look how they do in porn movies.
