RE: Tour de France
It's going to be Mark Cavendish's last Tour.

He's equalled the legendary Eddy Merckx's record of 34 Tour de France stage victories and has won the overall green jersey points twice.

He's now riding for Astana Qazaqstan but don't expect anything from him in today's hilly stage.

It's a Yates day on the opening stage as Adam beats his brother Simon to win day1 of the Tour for the UAE team. GB riders 1 and 2.

Simon's 8 secs behind and Adam's about 18 seconds ahead of the rest.

Stage 2 today is a 208.9 km hilly course from Vitoria - Gasteiz to Saint Sebastien. Another day in Spain.

The design of the green jersey has come in for some critism from the commentators.

French rider Victor Lafay spritted off the Peleton and they were unable to catch him before the finish.

Stage 3 Amorebieta-Etxano to Bayonne 193.5km flat course.

The tour starts up in France today on a course which could prove suitable to the sprinters.

Belgium’s Jasper Philipsen won today's stage 3 into Bayonne. He had a great leadout from his Alpecin-Deceuninck team-mate Mathieu van der Poel

Adam Yates is still the holder of the yellow jersey.

Stage 4 Dax to Nogaro.
It's a 181.8km flat course.

Although Cavendish didn't win yesterday's sprint finish he did end up in 6th place. He started his sprint further back that the winner but it was registered that he reached the highest speed.

It's another chance for him today as it's going to be another sprint finish.

RE: Tour de France
It's been a day when the Peleton has stayed together.
8 km to go and it's going to be a day for the fastest sprinter.
This is Cavendish's chance to get his 35th stage win.

The sprinter who won the stage was Belgium’s Jasper Philipsen.
A second win gives Phillipsen the green jersey.

Cavendish finished about 5th.
