Michael Palin returns to Dubai (in 2008) to retrace the crew of the Al Shama, which took him to India over a week (during his globe-trot 20 years before), and whose crew he felt warmly towards. He spends a long time showing off the glitz of Dubai, even though the boat has been sunk and the crew turn out to be in northern India. He does find them in the end (well, most of them).

Specifially the long-eared owl, but the pair managed to see most other owls along the way (except snowy owls), and Jim even knocked out a 2nd painting, such was his fervour. Jools Holland came along for a painting skit too.
