RJ Mitchell - Aircraft Designer
So old that William Woollard was the presenter. Mitchell designed the Spitfire, among others, but died young. Leslie Howard made a film of his story "The First of the Few" which is probably the better watch.

A British actor for once to end the latest series. Shamefully they omit his entire 1980s career - can't imagine why they would want to omit gems like The Lair of the White Worm?
