Secret Knowledge - Castiglione - Rogue Genius of the Baroque
Helen Rosslyn celebrates the inventor of the Monotype print, something then uncelebrated for 250 years. His own works ended up in the Royal Collection, where they were rescued from obscurity by bad apple Anthony Blunt.

An overdue return for the good doctor, who has a new book out, and an old book about to reach a 3rd edition, who shot down talk of the Thucydides Trap, and the FIRE sector, and much more.

Big Sky, Big Dreams, Big Art - Made in the USA
1/3 Waldo Januszczak starts his 2018 series on American art by calling Jackson Pollock "Jack the Dripper", so he can't be all bad.

#5 and into the Peak District, where they had a long skit on some e-bikes, did some cookery which surprisingly turned out well, visited Derwent Dam to talk about the Dambusters, and finally met an owl and a hawk.
#6, last one, and Norfolk, where they consider Punch & Judy, a seal colony, and a wherry ride on the Norfolk Broads. They seem to have enjoyed doing the series more than they expected, and so did I, and I hope there's a 2nd series. They didn't visit Scotland, which is shocking by this channel's standards.

The last TV show I watched is Banshee. The first three seasons were simply stunning. Season four, which is the final one, had a rather substantial shift in tone, which I did not appreciate as greatly. But all in all, Banshee is, in my humble opinion, one of the best and greatest TV shows of all time.

The Great Detectives - Hercule Poirot & the Disappearing Novelist
One-off repeat from 1999, as Nigel Williams pays tribute to Agatha Christie. Ironically, Nigel himself seems to have disappeared since those days.
