The quixotic nature of this series continued. He starts in a mild part of Chicago to look at Ernie's childhood, then has to try shooting and fishing skits. Then he's off to Milan to drive an ambulance, then back to Paris to visit the flat he stayed in. None of it makes Ernie or his books intriguing.
