The big twist from the previous Ep.

The Sky at Night - Cosmology in Crisis? BBC Feb 2019

This was a good instalment with a bit of meaty science.

The crisis refers to the discrepancies between estimates of the Hubble Constant, and therefore the age of the universe, using two different methodologies. The Universe has been expanding since the big bang and the Hubble Constant (Ho) gives the speed of this expansion.

The "astronomy" estimate uses "standard candles" ie objects of known brightness such as cepheid variable stars and Type 1a supernovae observed using the Hubble Space Telescope and other instruments to measure the distance of galaxies. The speed at which they are receding from us is known from the redshift of their light. These measurement give a Ho of 73 km per second per megaparsec (Mpc) where a Mpc is about 30 billion billion kilometres.

The "cosmology" method uses microwave measurements obtained by the Planck satellite observatory. It uses fluctuations in the cosmic microwave background radiation, which is the afterglow of the big bang, combined with measurements of the distribution of galaxies to give an Ho of 67 km/s/Mpc.

The first method gives 12.7 billion years as the age of the universe. The second method suggests an age of 13.8 billion years. Many scientists think that the discrepancy is hinting at some fundamental priciple of physics or cosmology that is yet to be discovered rather than a fault in either of the methodologies.

There's a good article in The Guardian which explains all this in more detail.

Series 3, perhaps scraping the barrel even more with the likes of Edwina Currie, Adrian Chiles and Dom Joly. But the Sultans Trail itself seems interesting, even if they skipped its start in Vienna and instead went from Belgrade.
pt 2 of 3
From Serbia into Bulgaria. No particular hardships like in some previous years (Currie skipped the mountain trek, fair enough she'd old), but Chiles the Catholic convert tried to stir trouble about the validity of the pilgrimage.

Paddy McGuinness talks to Shaun Ryder about his car history. A charming little show.
SITC
Paddy talks to Goldie ditto. Funnier because the 2nd car breaks down with clutch problems, and the 3rd car is a soft-top on a very wet day.

GARO: Versus Road, episode 1

The ninth and current season of the Japanese Tokusatsu franchise. Taking a VERY different direction on this. Rather than being the typical transforming hero show with a J-horror flavour, this is taking a "Battle Royale" approach. 100 players of a VR game, winner becomes the Golden Knight Garo.

Rob Bell returns, with the title presumably altered because he uses a helicopter and a bicycle as well as doing some walking. Seemed more about the factual stuff like a lime kiln and a quarry than the actual railway line.
BLR - unsure what episode - NW Wales
Bangor to Caernarvon, then down to Llanberis and finally Snowdonia (again).
