Davison & Timothy went to the N Yorkshire Moors for much riffing on their time on All Creatures Great and Small. Fun with tractors, with Jowetts, with hill climb races, and finally with a Baby Austin.
2.2 Davo & Timmo blast along the south coast; Davo did most of the fancy driving this week, whether a certain "sprightly yellow roadster" or a Willys jeep, or a race against a funicular railway. A wonder they missed the sea tractor, he'd have probably driven that too.

Great Canal Journeys - the last UK one?
After several years helping C4's remit with its Alzheimers backdrop, it looks like this run really really is going to be the end. They had one trip on their "local" route, picking up their kids along the way for a final celebration; also with many clips from over the years. Tragically, Tim tells us in asides that Pru is now deaf and has almost no short-term memory, and he's beginning to suffer an acute loneliness, and some mental ill-effects as a result Sad

Freewheelers (Talking Pictures TV)

A homespun late 60s/early 70s "action-adventure" serial that's been playing every weekend. This programme contains discriminatory language and attitudes indicative of its era which may give offense apparently.

What it is also full of is British character actors that popped up in 1960s and 1970s Doctor Who.
So if you wanted to see the commander of the T-Mat base from "The Seeds of Death" without his terrible futuristic PVC nappy costume, and instead trying to look like some kind of superannuated James Bond leaping in and out of a sports car in white chinos, while he battles against a mad scientist (the bloke from "The Green Death" who's in charge of the sinister chemical company) and a shifty naval type ( the part cybernetic corporate CEO from "The Invasion" ) while being ably assisted by Patrick Troughton's assistant Zoe, then this is the series for you.
(Oh, and old classic Dr Who perves would presumably savour the sight of aforementioned "Zoe" stripping to her smalls on a beach to swim out to a yacht)

Has all the hallmarks of that era of serial programming where a thin idea is stretched out over too many half hours, leading to interminable scenes of people sitting around making cups of tea or doing the washing up while they wait for someone to "report" on a phone or a sophisticated walkie-talkie device. Then brief bits of film of people on location zooming about in cars or boats, which is obviously where the meagre budget goes.

The current episodes have sadly dropped Wendy, they've got some other dolly bird in. And it's all revolving around some sinister horse-owning type who's got a defected Russian scientist holed up at his stables in secret, developing a scientific mcguffin called "Scorpio" which obviously the good old British don't want to develop as a weapon(which said Russian scientist is horrified at the prospect of), no,no perish the thought, they just don't want the nasty Soviets to make a weapon out of it. And the scientist believes him. So that seems like it's going to end well....
