Billions Season 4 Episode 11 "Lamster"
Another really good episode with the season finale coming in the next episode. Great ensemble cast with Damien Lewis, Paul Giamatti, Maggie Siff, David Costabile (who played a small role in the brilliant Breaking Bad) and the ever devious Clancy Brown who fits the role of an alleged corrupt politician well. The series has been given the green light for a fifth season of shenanigans and twists and turns. Overall it's a show with great acting, good story lines and some of the dialogue is excellent. Worth a look.

Chernobyl.

I wasn't going to watch it, because, well it's not exactly a fun or entertaining story, just tragic, but after the reviews of the first episode came out, I decided to give it a look and wow. Very well made, well acted and the horrors/reality of the situation were compelling (some creative licence of course). If you haven't given it a look, I recommend you do, it deserves the high ratings.

This morning the commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of D-Day(which is actually tomorrow 6th) where over three hundred veterans who lived through the horror of that conflict were on parade along with the leaders of various countries (including Her Majesty the Queen, President Macron and President Trump) that were involved such as the US, Canada, Australia and others - Germany was represented by Angela Merkel who wanted to be there. John Jenkins 99yrs old came onto the stage to give a short account of what it was like for him to land on the beaches of Normandy. It was very moving, poignant and in a way uplifting to know that these men survived to tell their stories but also to remember those that never made it home. Another programme tomorrow morning will be shown on the BBC this time on the actual day itself. There was also a flypast of various aircraft including at the end the famous Red Arrows display team. We owe these men and women of course so much and a simple thank you seems scant reward for a freedom won.
