Cheesy Grin - thanks for posting the joke shop picture in the Images thread..

Did I ever mention getting banned from my local library for discretely dropping a couple of stinkbombs in there? Those little glass things..trod on them and....Christ they stunk! Bounce

Dropped one of them on the top deck of the school bus once and cleared it out..was laughing that hard at the sight I had tears streaming down my cheeks Bounce Driver went apeshit BounceBounce

RE: Memories of Childhood
Funnily enough those were developed in the 1960's by British Intelligence(according to last night's episode of Back In Time For School) and how on earth they came to be in joke shops years later is beyond me. I think there was an episode of early Grange Hill when someone stepped on one in class and one of the girls said " Oh god what's that smell...someone's 'onked!" Big Grin

I can remember being able to buy that stuff in a small bottle, which was filled with a yellowish green liquid, you took the cap off and blew across the top of the bottle and the stench went in the direction you blew in...not that I ever did that to anyone you understand Wink

RE: Memories of Childhood
Going to Butlins Pwllheli in 1978 in our old D reg Ford Cortina. About 30 miles from our destination on a boiling hot May afternoon the car is overheating.

Remember this is in the days when bottles of water weren’t available. So can you guess what went into the radiator to cool things down?

My Dad, me and my brother...all did our bit to fill the radiator with piss. When in an emergency and all that..Did the job though...Big Grin

When I played football at school I had a red shirt with a number 7 on it, for Mr Keegan, and was proud to wear it whilst all around me were Arsenal supporters-but then back then all the shirts were the same looking. I remember that Superstars episode, nasty fall that.
I don't think superstars was ever the same after that happened. great theme music though.
