I think it is him. We've all heard Fernanda wail ''JAMESsss'' when her phone dies or something. When signing off on Saturday 13th she apologised for us not hearing her Merry Christmas sign off. Fernanda had been told about the failing by fans and said that she'd just told 'James' off about it.
I'm prepared to bet that his family probably think that he lives at the bloody place. I'll bet that he came in last Saturday for a few hours because nobody else would. He had to go and so set the controls for the heart of the sun and left things in the hands of a technician until the night staff started at 10.00.

4. The babes do put up with not being heard on mic... a LOT. I suppose they've tried to do something about it?

2. That's what they said about going to the moon. Least worst option
3. It only really matters to me in the event of a babe making a very important announcement. It'll be covered on all the primary sources but I surmise announced live first.
4. You made a very interesting remark somewhere about the quality of day versus night show production. Presumably money talks.

Just a few comments on the above.

Your timing looks right for the change from the morning producer to the daytime producer. I think 14:00 is when that happens.

I doubt if the daytime producer put the logo up as you stated, as that is more likely down to the studio manager.

The morning producer wouldn't have returned at 19:00 and neither would there be a new producer at that time. I suggest that the daytime producer most likely took a break about then and the runner took the reigns.

The night producer doesn't take over until 22:00 or thereabouts.

^ IIRC last year's article from the former xpanded producer said that the night producer's start time was 8pm there. Whether that includes control over broadcast output from that time or was for the night's preparatory meetings (something we have been told BS do every evening) and so forth, was not something she went into.

Would this be industry standard perhaps?

Are you going with generally accepted three producers a day admiral? Morning, afternoon and nighttime? Again, would you say that was standard across the operators?

Also, are you saying that you think studio manager is the official term for logo man? Or more accurately the studio manager job includes all logo duties?

A few more positives to go along with the negatives might be helpful.

No-one's doubting McCann as one of the top dogs at 66 Chrisst - he has been since they started. What posters are suggesting is that someone of his standing might not be needed as producer very often. Another James is very much on the cards.

Studio 66 production positives (other than the presenters and not in comparison to any other station)
1. It's sensual and sometimes sexy.
2. They publish a schedule a week ahead.
3. It's on Freeview.
4. The set is sort of TV shaped
5. The camera is positioned close to the presenter.
6. They keep on trying new things.
7. They have a chat room under the screen and the gallery take part.
8. On the web there's no OSG.
9. They have a magazine and social media.
!0. To make things easy all the producers are called James.
