The Incredible 2-Headed Transplant(1971)

An old drive in classic that has quite a lot to offer regardless of its silly title. An insane doctor played by Bruce Dern transplants the head of a criminal onto the body of a large, mentally handicapped man.The two personalities are in conflict as one brain wants to love whilst the other wants to kill.

Rage At Dawn(1955) Randolph Scott stars as a lawman who goes undercover to bring the Reno Brothers(including Forrest Tucker and J Carrol Naish) to justice. A fairly standard B Western, plot and script wise, although the acting is good, and the ending is nicely downbeat. Also starring Denver Pyle,Mala Powers,Howard Petrie,William Forrest & Kenneth Tobey. 6/10

The Stars Look Down(1939)

Michael Redgrave stars as young man who leaves his mining town to go to university with the intention of returning with a better education so he can support the minors.A classic Carol Reed film with good support from Margaret Lockwood.

Scream,Blacula,Scream(1973)

AIP schlockmeister Sam Arkoff wanted a blaxploitation Dracula film so he asked Bob Kelijan to direct this.A terrible effort with a dire script given one touch of class from leading man,William Marshall.Bringing dignity to the role with his regal bearing and amazing voice.A so bad its funny type of film, with Marshall rising above the fray.It really would be nothing without him.

Vengeance Valley (1951) Stepbrothers Burt Lancaster & Robert Walker return to their father's ranch after a cattle drive, but trouble is brewing in the shape of brothers played by John Ireland & Hugh O'Brian who are out to find out who got their sister(Sally Forrest) pregnant. A pretty mundane effort script and story wise, and Walker seems miscast, perhaps so identified with the same year's classic Strangers In The Train, Lancaster also had come of the back of a string of film noirs, including the classics The Killers and Criss Cross, this pales in comparison. Also starring Joanna Dru,Ray Collins, Ted De Corsia & Carleton Carpenter. 5/10

The Dead One[aka Blood of the Zombie](1961)

A Barry Mahon film set in New Orleans about a young woman who resorts to Voodoo and turns her brother into an unfeeling Zombie,in order to murder her rivals so she can inherit the family plantation. Some effective make-up work help make some of the killings quite creepy and disturbing.

Ghost In The Shell (2017)

An excellent live action version of the iconic Manga/anime Sci-Fi film.

Scarlet Johansson is excellent & a badass as Major and the special effects are incredible along with incredible action sequences. Some nice nods/Easter Eggs to the Ghost In The Shell Manga/Anime film throughout the film.

Best seen in imax 3D to make the most of the incredible special effects & action

9.5/10
