It was bad enough to be sobbing on the TV last night when she won a gold medal but the last thing that you'd want is for someone to dig out a geeky pic of you from when you were a little girl.

The GB women's hockey team look and sound like a real tight knit unit. Absolute belief in their method and approach. Unity of purpose and clarity of thought.
Making all the right calls at all the right times.
If they win a gold medal I believe it really could inspire the next generation of females through to want to take up the game.
There is no higher profile arena for a female national team to perform well than in the Olympics.
These ladies have a real opportunity to make themselves better known names in the British consciousness.
In the past I have treated the idea of legacy and power to inspire with some cynicism even in London 2012 but this, to me at least feels rather different.
This team could achieve something historic, amazing and truly inspirational which is why I am of the opinion that if this particular Gold medal is won it could be the most important and significant of the entire Games from a British standpoint.
I really hope they win it now.
