Would it be a better idea if I started a petition and got every one on the forum and the babe channel babes themselves to sign it, and ask Boris to consider using babe channel presenters to handle our negotiated Brexit? They'd probably get a better deal than he could!! Imagine Juncker coming face to face with Fernanda's bad boys! He'll be putty in her hands

Just been watching the Andrew Marr programme. Leave MPs deny making any promises even when Marr shows them their own posters.

I was never a fan but Thatcher would have negotiated to get a deal and stayed in the EU

So, you would be quite happy for the Scottish Parliament to veto the referendum result, then?

After all, the First Minister, her Government, and the Scottish Parliament's responsibility is to the Scottish people, who voted to stay in the EU.

Personally, I hope this doesn't happen, because it would represent the same democratic outrage to England/Wales, as currently faces Scotland as a result of the EU referendum result.

It would, however, be very interesting to see the reaction of those who have said 'tough shit, Scotland, it was a UK vote, deal with it', if the 'shoe was to be on the other foot', so to speak.

I don't see any constitutional basis on which scotland could over-rule it.

I don't know the details but, apparently, the Scottish Parliament has to give 'legislative consent', or some such thing.

Possibly as a result of the Scotland Act, an act of Westminster that established the Scottish Parliament?

I don't think this 'has legs', though (and hope it does not, for the reason I've outlined).
