Europe, Referendum & Brexit (formerly Europe..IN or OUT??)

Got a leaflet through the door the other day from campaign group 'Scotland Stronger in Europe' (no, I'd never heard of them either )

Along with the usual guff, there was a list of 6 'Key Facts'

1) 250,000 Scottish jobs are linked to our exports to the EU. source: HM Treasury

2) Being in the EU means you get lower prices in the shops because it's cheaper to trade and there's more choice. source: European Commission

3) For every £1 we put into the EU, we get £10 back through increased trade, investment, jobs, growth and lower prices. source: CBI & OBR

4) 200,000 UK businesses trade with the EU, helping them create jobs. source: HMRC

5) The UK gets £66 million of investment every day from EU countries. source: Office for National Statistics

6) We are safer thanks to the European Arrest Warrant, which means we can arrest criminals across the EU. source: none given

Tbf, a free trade agreement would serve 1), 2) and 4) just as well. And 6) just looks like something they threw in to pad it out.
3) and 5) are interesting though, if correct.

I wonder if we could obtain a freedom of information Act request to get the correct statistics to those points?

Well well Chinese have now stabbed the UK in the back by putting a 46% tarrif on the special Electroplate Steel that the TATA plant in Newport makes. so Cameron has been totally fucked in the arse bet u he loved it

serves him right thinking the Chinese could be trusted & thinking that they liked him!!
There's probably no way now TATA will get sold back to us for 1 quid!! I bet that they'll even charge us 46% VAT on that too!!

Never trust the Chinese with business deals Dave - they'll always find a way to screw us over!!!
We should hit back with an exports ban on their goods unless they'll are up to 100% on our BS Kitemark standards and hit em with a 60% import tariff

That's complete hog wash right there, everywhere else I've seen states quite clearly it cost the UK much more than she gets out, there again it might be true for scotland.

Although chink is a racial slur, I believe the forum moderators should let the post in question stand and any similar posts too, as that way any racists in the forum will stand condemned by their own words. It will also show that the OUT campaign harbour racists in their ranks.

Some supermarkets will prob but guessing Tesco and Asda wont
