Perhaps they feel that the web-only based show doesn't generate enough revenue on it's own. They need to sacrifice some TV screen space for advertising to help make it work.
But as oppose to screen sharing this is definitely the lesser of the two evils.

Also I think it's worth noting that any changes won't have been born out of comments made on here by us either
I would guess that the rest of the the Great British public have also experienced some difficulty whilst holding a phone, a pair of binoculars, and trying to knock one out, all at the same time.

S66 may have it's problems, but for me Hannah Martin is one of the most watchable babes on all the channels. She is seriously cute.

i dont think its an experiment mate. i think its born out of the need to cut costs.

gemma lives 150+ miles away from the studio so not only will they have to pay her travel expenses they have to pay for her time traveling to the job(under the new employment laws http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34217549 ), then theres the expense of overnight stays when she does afternoon/evening then morning shifts.

gemma is good on the phone, so will likely bring in £400-600 a shift.

but when you deduct the expenses of getting her to a shift, putting her up. s66 isnt left with a lot to pay her, the crew and running costs, for her portion of the show.
so to my thinking, there probably saving in the region of £200 a shift by getting her to do the job from home.

6-8 shifts a month over 12 months could be a tidy saving for them... around 14k i guess.

Babe channel girls aren't affected by that ruling and won't benefit from it, for 2 reasons. Firstly, they aren't 'mobile workers' as they have a studio to work from, and secondly they aren't employees either and therefore aren't covered by such employment legislation.

gemma may fall under the ruling due to the distance to her job, and the fact the job requires her to travel to other locations for things like photoshoots.
then again what do i know im not a lawyer

Are we supposed to be thankful that it's not DBS time again?

OK, I haven't watched the shows last 2 nights...can someone explain me what is this? i mean, now one of the channels can be seen only this way, ALL night? if the answer is yes, no one thinks that the remedy is worse than the problem ?

I think it's a real step in the right direction, its worked will on days for sometime and think it will work on nights,
3 girls 3 channels makes so much more sense, manuel the 3rd channel can be see on the web site full picture is only on tv its a little box on one of the other channels
