A cricket legend, a nice guy, one of the many great voices of sport, and a chunk of Rory Bremner's act. RIP

Richie was for cricket what John Virgo is to snooker, the best commentator in their sport. RIP

The greatest commentator of all time, as far as I know. Nobody else had his authority and popularity. If you ask any broadcaster from any sport they will surely acknowledge Richie Benaud as the master of commentating.
