It's taken a while but Capaldi has grown on me and I hope he stays for a while now. Maybe he needs a new assistant next series, though, to really move on from the last Doctor.

I know am probably the only one in thinking this but am not really feeling the finale.

WTF they have no shame. Shambolic and contrived claptrap. Domestic Sontaran and now tame cybermen raised from the long dead lol. Tune in for the Christmas special when Jon Pertwee turns in his grave.

kalel - how are you the only one thinking that you don't get it - throughout this thread there's been several of us criticizing this show for the current shit writing. It's not just you is it that doesn't like it, lots of us sadly have the belief that this show is poor these days - well a lot poorer than what it should be.

I have to say I didn't get this finale and it didn't work as a concluding episode of the series.

Can they destroy the Cybermen anymore for fuck's sake?! First he made them tap dancing dicks and now it's let's make them dead human corpses to rise up and save the living and therefore turn another evil enemy into something we first feel sorry for and then feel gratitude for when they save us. Oh piss off Moffat.

The only good thing I liked about this finale two parter was the reveal about who Missy is - I thought that was clever. The rest of this two parter and indeed several episodes in this series have been well below par. The writing is crap - I only truly enjoyed Listen and Flatline from this series - and enjoying 2 episodes of a series of 12 is not exactly a great return.

That fucking childish Santa clip at the end doesn't fill me with confidence of a decent Christmas special. Oh botheration Moffat, what have you done to this show that used to be great...

Thank god am not the only then, it just never felt like it was finale it felt so lacklustre, it just felt very predictable and the story felt like it never made any sense. The Cybermen just did nothing and when that girl got killed by missy again predictable and saying she had whisper something in her ear you knew exactly what was gonna happen and while all this going on no one is watching whats going on the the screen till she's disappeared, it felt like a lot of things were just unanswered for me.
A finale should leaving you begging for more or leaving with a WTF moment none of that was present in the finale, you look at the ending of season 1 finale of Arrow or the season 6 finale of Smallville with punch up between Clark Vs Clark and how that ending leaving wanting to see the next series, different shows i know but thats what i want from a finale some epic.
