The Wolverine extended cut 10/10
Film of the year for me. Powerful and gritty with several plot twists and surprises. A refreshing change from the xmen franchise. Watch the credits at the end for a big hint at whats to come

Edit: The alternative ending on disc 2 of the 3D version is interesting as it includes by way of a parting gift the half face mask that wolverine wears in the comic series. Doubtful, but will be interesting to see if that appears in a future movie.

GI Joe:Retaliation - 7/10 - Easy to watch stuff, gave it an extra point purely for Adrianne Palicki being in it and I'm a fan of The Rock. Could see these turning in to Fast & Furious-esque guilty pleasures for me if they make any more, lol

The American 7.5/10.

Gravity (Imax 3D)

Great fun, very entertaining

Pacific Rim - 9/10.
Django Unchained - 8/10.

Elysium - 8.5/10 - Think this might be my film of the year. Everything seemed just right, it looked great, it wasn't overly long, decent plot idea, over the top bad guy....I could go on. Thought it was great.

Return of 'Shit Film Night' tomorrow night with the lads so will be posting thoughts on either Zombie Hunter or Ghost Shark lol!

Captain Phillips a lot better than i thought it would be 8/10

Escape Plan

Sly and Arnie spar off each other nicely is this enjoyable prison action movie, which plays out like a watered down version of Prison Break. It has your typical range of nasty baddies, and has a typical first rate Arnie quote near the end. It's one of those films that can be considered a guilty pleasure. 7/10

The Heat - 7/10.
